Financial wellness for all.
Mission & Philanthropy
CorePlus is committed to giving back to the communities we serve.
Become a MemberA Spirit of Community
CorePlus Credit Union is a financial services cooperative headquartered in Norwich, Connecticut and founded in 1936. Since our beginning, we’ve remained steadfast in our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve through our philanthropic program because we recognize that our members are our neighbors, and that everyone benefits when we work to make our cities and towns a better place to live.
As an example, in 2023, CorePlus contributed $70,110 in sponsorship and donations to a variety of organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association, United Community & Family Services, and the Waterford Country School.
Additionally, throughout the month of June ’23, we partnered with UCFS Healthcare at four of their Mobile Food Pantry Drive events. Together, we were able to distribute 426 bags of groceries, helping 1,057 people and their families avoid food insecurity. CorePlus pursued this cause further as the title sponsor of the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce Duck Race, which raised money for the Rosalyn Allyn Food Pantry, and make additional donations to food drives hosted by UCFS Healthcare and the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut in November.
We proudly continued our annual tradition of participating in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Tag program in December. Through collection efforts at our branches, we brought new clothes and gifts to 75 children. CorePlus team members supported several other efforts during the year as well including assisting with a Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut build.
