Lead Free Clinic
Saturday June 14, 2008 CorePlus hosted its first Lead Free Clinic. The clinic was hosted by Toys N' Tots Lead Detection and Home Safety LLC. During the testing there was entertainment for the kids including a hysterical clown making balloon characters and our own Corey MacMoney. The kids also enjoyed squirt guns, gummy fruit, and granola bars; they also received some CorePlus promotional gifts including air fresheners, stickers, and pencils. At the clinic, members and non-members brought toys to be tested for lead content. Testing is performed very easily with the use of XRF (x-ray fluorescence technology) the very same equipment used by the Consumer Products Safety Commission. Once the test is completed a report is furnished containing toys that have unsafe levels of lead. "Those who participated in the lead testing felt it was a wonderful service, the kids seemed to have a blast which was great since it was all about the kids!," said Lynn Arcarese the Waterford branch supervisor.

Over 3,347 Branches and Still Growing!
It's true! CorePlus offers our members access to over 3,347 branch locations nationwide and we're still growing. As a matter of fact, CorePlus members have access to a national branching network that rivals many of the largest financial institutions in the country. As a participant in the Credit Union Service Centers Network, you can perform transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, make loan payments, and much more, at participating shared service center locations.
To access the location of the nearest Shared Service Center location to you, log onto www.cuservicecenters.com. While you're there, be sure to print out driving directions. If you don't have access to an Internet connection while you're on the go, there's no need to worry. The most recent upgrade to the Shared Service Centers network is a new phone locator service. This service affords members the convenience of searching for a Service Center location by zip code or street address and obtain driving directions. A Spanish option is also available! You can access the phone locator service by calling 1-800-919-CUSC (2872)
